Stuart Herrington Freelance illustrator in Sheffield

Hello fellow friends, this is my old blog from College and University days, however you can keep in touch with me mainly via twitter: https://twitter.com/SJHillustration
Or you can also see my current portfolio and can contact me via my website here: http://sjhillustration.com/

I'd like to keep this blog updated but I have little time to maintain it right now, If I can find time to update the blog's layout and visuals and add updated information and links, then I'll try to post more on it for sure.

Illustration Work in Progress

So I've been working on a replacement illustration to my last piece that was going to be for the same submission, however that didn't work out how i wanted it. (http://sherrington-art.blogspot.co.uk/2014/05/sometimes-illustrations-dont-work-out.html)

The illustration is a different approach but under the same brief, i wanted to go for something a little more light hearted and fun... Though I've still got to balance it a little, and improve on the characters, and some more background perhaps.

You can find the finished piece, and the rest of my portfolio work on my website here: http://sjhillustration.com/illustration

Two Editorials for a University Student's magazine

Above: A full page illustration for choices a young adult makes in their life.
Below: A Smaller illustration, for the same article - with a little more experimenting with textures, I like it more, but would be a little risky to do it to a bigger image like above, but some practise will hopefully lead me to better outcomes.

MH370 - Rethinking Black boxes Editorial Practise.

Despite this article been obsolete regarding the situation of the plane, what stays true is the fact how difficult it is to track the plane, with all the mobile phones the passengers had, it really begs the question why they were not checked, now it's too late to check them it seems, but there might be previous location data regarding where it was before the phone battery died.
